Talaash: The Answer Lies Within is a 2012 Indian neo-noir mystery film directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Productions.[1] The movie stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Rani Mukerji in lead roles and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vivan Bhatena, Shernaz Patel and Raj Kumar Yadav in supporting roles.[3] The soundtrack of the movie is scored by Ram Sampath, with lyrics written by Javed Akhtar.[4] Principal photography of the film occurred during March–November 2011 taking place primarily in Mumbai, Pondicherry and London.[5] The movie received a UA certificate from the Censor Board of India.[6] The movie released on 30 November 2012.[7] Box Office India declared Talaash as a "hit" in India and a "super hit" overseas.[8][9][10] It eventually grossed INR174 crore (US$30 million) worldwide.[2]
